This 20L wash bucket comes with a grit guard that keeps grit from touching your mitt or cloth.
But how exactly does the grit guard work? It's simple: without the grit guard when you rub dirt off your wash mitt into the bucket, the dirt falls to the bottom. But when you put the mitt back in the bucket, the water gets disturbed and the dirt can land back on the mitt. That's where the grit guard comes in - it traps dirt by preventing water from flowing underneath it. To get the dirt off your mitt, you scrub your mitt against the bucket barrier to remove all the dirt.
For best results, we recommend using the 2 bucket wash method - one for rinsing and one for washing. Fill the rinse bucket with plain water and the wash bucket with soapy water. After wiping a few panels of your car with the soapy mitt, rinse it in the rinse bucket. This removes all the dirt from your mitt, then you to use a clean mitt in the soapy water again.

FAQs
Q: How does the grit guard prevent scratches?
A: The grit guard sits inside the bucket and has raised protrusions. When you wash your car wash mitt or sponge, the grit guard forces the mitt to pass over these protrusions, trapping dirt and debris at the bottom of the bucket. This prevents the grit from being picked up again and scratching your car's paint.
