Auto-Wash is a new technology, highly powerful, environmentally friendly car shampoo, formulated to allow you to effortlessly and effectively clean your paintwork before waxing.
Auto-Wash is anti-corrosive and suitable for bare steel also, ideal for owners of older vehicles which may have stone chips or exposed areas of mild steel. This is also an advantage in modern cars where the entrapment of corrosive elements carried by some detergents in folded seams accelerates the corrosion.
Auto-Wash is very highly-concentrated, meaning that much less solution is needed to add to the water. Not only do you save money, but the added benefit of this is simple – there is less matter to remove from your paintwork prior to polishing.
Auto-Wash will chamois off with ease to leave a perfectly clean body, ready for further treatment. In fact, a single shampoo can be carried out with just a single teaspoon of auto-wash, meaning one wash will cost you around 16p!
Auto-Wash uses powerful surfactants to create a high foam level. This simply means that particulate matter is lifted away from the paint, where it can be safely removed with reduced risk of scratching or damage to your car’s paintwork.
How To Use
Auto-Wash is a highly concentrated car shampoo, just a 5ml spoonful (1 teaspoon to a 10 litre bucket) is sufficient.
Its low viscosity ensures it pours easily, the measured amount should be emptied into a clean bucket before adding the warm water thus generating a thick lather for paintwork cleaning.
Auto-Wash can be used neat as a pre-wash spot cleaner using a clean swab for removal of very stubborn oily films.
Q: Is Bilt Hamber Auto Wash pH-Neutral?
A: Yes, Auto Wash is a highly concentrated pH Neutral shampoo that is safe for all paint types and protected cars.
Q: How do you use Bilt Hamber Auto Wash?
A: To use Bilt Hamber Auto Wash, dilute it at 2000:1 (water to product), meaning add 10 ml of shampoo to a 20L wash bucket. Fill the bucket with warm water and stir to create a rich lather. Apply the foam with a wash mitt in sections and rinse thoroughly. This ensures a clean finish without stripping any wax or sealants.
Q: Does Bilt Hamber Auto Wash strip wax?
A: No, Bilt Hamber Auto Wash is specifically formulated to be gentle on your car's surface, ensuring that it does not strip off any wax or sealants, making it safe for use on protected finishes.
Q: Can Bilt Hamber Auto Wash be used with a pressure washer?
A: While Bilt Hamber Auto Wash is not specifically designed for use with a pressure washer, it can be used in this way. However, it may not provide the same performance as products like Auto-Foam or Surfex HD, which are formulated for pressure washing. For optimal results, it's recommended to use Auto Wash in a bucket with a dilution ratio of 5 ml per 10 liters of warm water to create a rich lather.

It did exactly as I hoped, it removed the traffic film allowing me to do a safe wash followed by a wax. I will definitely be buying Bilt Hamber products in future. And it was a great price too!!
Absolutely the best wheel cleaner on the market. No other product touches this.
Very versatile. Used it at a 1 in 10 ratio so far to both clean car and also to spruce up upvc doors and windows. Top product.
Very good no touch clean. Good results with very little work
It did as described. Auto Foam was used first to remove/lift road grime and then just 5ml (unbelievably small amount) of shampoo to a bucket of warm water did the trick to leave the bodywork and wheels looking amazing IMHO.
